Imagine: Hald mich ens vas played by rows full of strings, Nao 't Zuuje blown by the crême de la crême of the Dutch träöters guild. In a full-length show, Frans and Lex sing their greatest hits with the world-renowned Metropole Orkest, which has played with such luminaries as Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis Costello, Robbie Williams and U2 singer Bono. A theatre performance with personal stories about life, Limburg and the leeds.

'This really is a childhood dream come true, I've been a fan all my life!' says Lex Uiting, who joined a brass band at a young age as a trombonist. 'The fact that my songs will now be arranged and performed by an orchestra of this calibre is the musical holy grail for me.' Frans Pollux never blew, 'but I listened to Glenn Miller as a child. That swing, that sense of liberation, that's all also ingrained in that Metropole.'

And another first: this is the first time that Frans and Lex will tour together. 'I'm incredibly looking forward to that,' says Lex. After the success of 'Met 'n Zaachte G', the single the gentlemen released early this year, the musical collaboration tasted like more. Lex: 'Tight in the suit, French with a slieps.' Pollux: 'It's going to be crazy; singing, telling stories together, dancing. Although I'd rather leave the latter to Lex.'

About Frans
Frans Pollux (Tegelen, 1977) studied history, wanted to be a writer, became a musician, started working for the radio and then for television, is now a columnist for De Limburger and also performs on all kinds of stages as a singer, presenter, storyteller or chairman of the day. He has been singing the Top2000 hit Hald Mich Ens Vas for over 15 years and now makes podcasts for NPO. His series De Laatste Dans, Bloody Sunday in Roermond and his latest podcast Het Apparaat have been streamed more than 2 million times.

About Lex
Lex Uiting (Blerick, 1986) is a TV presenter and programme maker at RTL4. For BNNVARA, he created the podcast 'De Tumor Tapes', which was nominated 'best podcast 2021' at the Dutch Podcast Awards. He writes and sings pop songs in his native language: Limburgs plat. His Limburg anthem 'Nao 't Zuuje' has been in the top regions of the NPO Radio 2 Top2000 for five years in a row and his duet with Chantal Janzen reached the highest position in the Dutch iTunes Top100.

In its 80-year existence, Metropole Orkest shared the stage with greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Brian Eno, Herbie Hancock, Robbie Williams, Basement Jaxx and Bono. The orchestra also plays with contemporary talents such as Within Temptation, Snarky Puppy, Gregory Porter, Jacob Collier and Cory Wong.
