Go back in time with harpist Oxana Thijssen, who recently had a beautiful 1852 Erard harp restored. In the process, she will perform works by the greatest harp virtuoso of the 19th century: Elias Parish Alvars. Modern harps are often too large and heavy, making his music difficult to play and even somewhat forgotten. Built by Pierre Erard, the harp is entirely in neo-Gothic style. More than half of it is inlaid in gold leaf... a feast for the eyes and ears!
