Il Trovatore is a drama full of suspense, love, revenge, deceit and death in which two men compete for the same woman. The story revolves around the troubadour Manrico and the count Luna, who are both in love with the beautiful Leonora. A dark secret connects Manrico and Luna, but only at the very end does Manrico's supposed mother, the gypsy Azucena, reveal what it is. The outcome is tragic.
