When countertenor Joachim Diessner was asked to organise a Christmas concert in Cologne in 2000, no one imagined it would grow into a tradition of more than 20 years. Musicians were also joining all the time. Currently, the line-up is two sopranos, a mezzo-soprano, two countertenors, chamber organ and solo instruments. Together, they take the audience on a varied journey of discovery through five centuries of Christmas music. Bach and Handel as well as contemporary American Christmas music and English Carols. This special initiative is now also coming to Domani. Traditionally, mulled wine will be served during the interval. A special concert to get into the Christmas spirit already.
