As a singer, composer and lyricist, Arno Adams has been a fixture on the Venlo music scene for about forty years. He regularly performs in and outside Limburg. High time to take another musical trip through his extensive oeuvre together with his fans in his home town Venlo.

In 1986, Arno Adams, from Belfeld in Limburg, had his baptism of fire as a singer with the eighteen-member band Take It Or Shake It. He then became singer of the professional group Diamond Eight. Their music went in all directions, from German Schlagers to funky jazz.

At some point, after years of playing other people's songs, Adams thought it was time to start composing himself. First in English with Double A Adams and from 1998 in his mother tongue. This resulted in seven wonderful Limburg-language CDs. In 2002 he was rewarded with the ING-Pries Veur Ut Limburgs Leed for good reason, and in 2020 he won the prestigious Veldeke Oeuvre-Pries. In 2013, director Hans Heijnen took an interest in Adams and made the wonderful documentary "Belfeld Blues", which was featured several times on national TV in Het Uur Van De Wolf.

His last album released so far is "De Léon's Farm Sessies" on Inbetweens Records, recorded in the summer of 2006 by Léon Bartels and re-released in 2022. Also in that year, Sounds Recordshop released the collector "Ut Is Wie Ut Is", a double album on vinyl featuring the best songs from his oeuvre. From Arno's version of the 1999 Boermans classic "De Twië Einzame" that launched his dialect career, to "De Sjraevelaer" from the 2017 album "Vogel". And everything in between, with songs such as "Kus Mich Dan" (which, thanks to promotion by Felix Meurders, has been in NPO Radio 5's Evergreen Top 1000 for several years), "Splinters In Place Of Butterflies", "Sjaakmat" and "Dans Met Mich", as well as some lesser-known gems.

Especially for this concert, Arno Adams has invited a number of musical friends in addition to regular accompanists Mike Roelofs on piano and Jo Didderen on double bass. Together with you, they will look back on his wonderful musical world in which his most beautiful songs pass by. Be surprised by the versatility of this exceptional artist.
